Zac Spowart, Author, Clinical Coach and Sober Companion

"The ultimate adventure is coming home to oneself."

Zac Spowart, author, clinical coach and sober companionZac Spowart, author, clinical coach and sober companion

Most of our problems come from disconnection from ourselves.

I'm Zac Spowart. Writer, clinical coach, and global traveler. For nearly two decades I have helped people heal and rediscover themselves through the same practices that transformed my own life: psychology, radical honesty, and the courage to come home to who you actually are.

A dual master's level clinician, I have built treatment centers across the United States, held space for thousands of men and women, and lived between Bali and the rest of the world in service of one simple truth: freedom is an inside job.

Ready to stop repeating the same patterns?

This isn't therapy. It isn't generic self-help either. It is a guided, honest conversation about why you keep ending up in the same place and what it actually takes to change that. We look at your attachment patterns, your relationship with yourself, and what conscious relating looks like for your specific life.

Who is Zac Spowart?

Zac Spowart, MA, MBA, is an author, clinical coach, counselor, and founder of Nomadic Addictt. With 19 years of sobriety, two master's degrees from Hazelden Betty Ford and Pepperdine University, and experience across 50+ countries, Zac helps people reconnect with themselves through clinical coaching, conscious relating, and sober travel.

How do Love Unlocked and Nomadic Addictt relate?

They are two halves of the same work. Nomadic Addictt is the sober travel and sober companion side: getting sober, and building a life big enough that you want to stay. Love Unlocked is the book and the clinical coaching on what comes after, in relationships and in how you see yourself. Same person, same training, two doors into it. Start with whichever one sounds like where you are.

What makes clinical coaching different from regular coaching?

Anyone can call themselves a coach. There is no licence, no board, and no required training. Zac holds a master's in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and an MBA from Pepperdine, and has worked in detox, inpatient and outpatient settings. That training is what the word clinical is doing: the work draws on attachment theory, emotional regulation and evidence-based practice rather than on encouragement alone. He coaches. He does not diagnose or treat, and this is not a replacement for therapy or medical care.
